When is the best time to have my Wedding Gown cleaned?
For best results the quicker you can have your Wedding Dress cleaned the better. This gives us the best chance to be able to remove stains and marks before they really set in. This is however not to say that stains can’t be removed after a period of time, we have had great results on Wedding Dresses that have been stored for up to 10 years!
Can all stains and damage be repaired?
Every effort and care are taken to restore your Wedding Gown back to its former glory, however unfortunately some stains can’t be removed and any major damage such as large rips and tears may not be able to be repaired. Our in-house Dressmaker will be able to discuss this with you at time of consultation.
Is my dress Dry Cleaned at Keepsake Bridal Handwashing?
No, your Wedding Dress is not Dry Cleaned at Keepsake. We specialise in hand washing Wedding Gowns, so no heat or chemical heating is used in this process. All Wedding Gowns are carefully washed in water.
Do you clean Wedding Gown’s with Lace and Beading?
Yes, we specialise in hand cleaning of all types of fabrics, including heavily beaded Wedding Gowns and delicate lace. Silk fabrics can be difficult to clean however we will discuss this at your consultation.
Should I wash my Wedding Gown after my wedding?
If you’re looking to have your Wedding Dress cleaned after the wedding, hand washing is a great way to restore and preserve your dress. During the process no harsh chemicals are used and all Wedding Gowns are naturally air dried. It’s can take some time and effort, but the results are worth it in the end.
